VISION DANCE SCHOOL NEWS……
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and ready for a busy 2010. Thank you to everybody that sent/gave me presents/cards for Christmas, they were all very much appreciated!
Some important dates……
This coming ½ term runs from 4th January to 12th February and is a 6 week ½ term.
Saturday 6th March : PRIDEPARK …..DERBY vs WATFORD…..VISION DANCE will be performing “I Like To Move It” for those pupils involved in Royal Albert Hall, this will be an ideal opportunity to perform in a large area to a HUGE audience! We need to organise costumes a.s.a.p so keep looking at website (www.visiondanceschool.co.uk) and notice board at dancing. We need all people involved to come to every practise as there are only a few more practises to finish the dance and perfect.
Sunday 16th May : Royal Albert Hall details regarding transport arrangements etc will be sorted soon, I need to know a.s.a.p which parents would like to come down on a coach organised by Vision so I can get an idea regarding numbers……REMEMBER you need to be buying 2 tickets (more would be great!). This is a great opportunity for the girls involved, one that they won’t forget; most pupils involved in last years performance came back buzzing and now seem so much more relaxed and confident in their performing. Practises are at Meadows School on Thursday evening 5.00-6.00pm as follows:
7th, 14th, 21st and 28th January.
4th, 11th and 25th February.
4th, 11th,18th and 25th March
1st April, + others TBA
Some of these dates may have to be at a bigger venue…..watch out on the notice board and website.
A word from Sarah Parkman:
Thank you to everyone who supports the 2nd hand dance clothes and shoes scheme, in support of Derby Samaritans. We currently have many pairs of tap, jazz and ballet shoes and clothes. We are, however, desperately short of bigger shoes, size 4 upwards, so if you have any, please do pass them on! Dates for dance sales for 2010 will be:
Saturdays 16th January, 27th March, 22nd May, 18th September and 6th November, all at 15 Melbourne Close, Duffield, between 0900-10:00am. Please come on these days, rather than phoning in between sales, as this is the only way I can manage to keep this valuable service going as well as run a home and go to work!

Sunday 28th November will be the date of our next show which will be held at the Assembly Rooms; more details later……
This term we will work on grade/exam work until just before Easter and then we will concentrate on show dances. There will be another exam session, probably February as it will take a couple of weeks to remember the work from last term and exam ready.

Finally, please may I remind people that lesson fees are due first week of ½ term and are payable for the full ½ term, if pupils choose not to attend a lesson fee’s are still payable for that lesson, please observe this policy when making payments. For those classes that had to be cancelled from 15th – 19th December 2009, please will those pupils affected please adjust this terms payment as appropriate.
